About One-Shot Ricochet
One-Shot Ricochet is a physics-based arcade game that challenges you to clear all targets with a single bouncing ball. A pointer continuously spins around the arena, and one tap fires your shot in that direction. The ball ricochets off walls, and you must time your shot so the bounces connect with every target before the ball comes to rest. Clear all targets to advance; miss even one and your run ends.
Each room introduces new target configurations and demands increasingly precise timing. Early rooms let you experiment with angles and wall bounces, but as you progress, targets cluster in tricky corners or spread across the arena in ways that require careful planning. The pointer never stops spinning, so every shot is a split-second decision between waiting for the perfect angle and risking overthinking.
One-Shot Ricochet rewards both patience and boldness. The satisfaction of watching a perfectly angled ball bounce from wall to wall, picking off targets one by one, is deeply rewarding. Short sessions fit easily between tasks, and the escalating difficulty keeps you coming back to beat your highest room count.
How to Play
- Watch the pointer as it spins continuously around the arena, indicating the direction your ball will fire.
- Tap the fire button when the pointer aligns with your intended trajectory.
- The ball bounces off the arena walls, changing direction with each ricochet.
- Each target the ball touches is cleared. Clear all targets in a room to advance to the next.
- If the ball stops moving before all targets are cleared, the game ends.
Tips & Tricks
- Visualize the ball path before firing. Trace imaginary lines from the pointer through wall bounces to see where your shot will travel.
- Corner shots are powerful. Firing toward a corner creates predictable diagonal bounces that can sweep across the arena.
- Do not wait for the perfect angle too long. The pointer spins continuously, so a good-enough shot now often beats a perfect shot that never comes.
- Watch for target clusters. Aiming to hit the densest group first maximizes your chances of chain-clearing multiple targets in one pass.
Scoring
- Base points per target: 50 points multiplied by room number (Room 1 = 50, Room 2 = 100, etc.)
- Bounce bonus: up to 100 extra points for efficient shots (10 points less per bounce)
- Room completion bonus: 100 points multiplied by room number (Room 1 = 100, Room 2 = 200, etc.)
- High scores are saved locally and displayed on the menu screen
Difficulty progression
- Room 1: 2 targets in accessible positions with generous wall space for bounces
- Rooms 2-3: 3 targets with tighter placements
- Rooms 4-5: 4 targets with less predictable arrangements
- Rooms 6-7: 5 targets requiring multi-bounce planning
- Rooms 8+: 6 targets in challenging configurations
Use cases*
- Quick focus break: one run takes about a minute and provides a satisfying reset between tasks
- Spatial reasoning warm-up: practice visualizing trajectories and angles before other activities
- Friendly competition: compare room counts and high scores with friends
- Zen play: enjoy the meditative rhythm of aim, fire, watch, repeat
