Word Trail

Word Trail is a daily themed word-search puzzle on an eight-by-eight grid of letters. Every day hides a short theme and a set of seven answers: six themed words plus one long anchor word that ties the set together. You trace each hidden word by linking touching letters, and cells connect in all eight directions, so a word can run across, down, or along a diagonal. It starts in seconds, runs anonymously, and needs no setup or sign-in. Each correct themed word locks into a colored path, fills one of the seven answer slots, earns you a hint token, and reveals one letter of the hidden anchor. The anchor is the longest answer and stretches between two edges of the board, so finding it completes the theme. Valid words that are not on the theme are still welcome: they nudge a separate hint meter rather than ending your run, so exploring the grid is rewarded, not punished. The puzzle is keyed to the UTC date, so every player sees the same board on the same day, and a light practice mode rotates through fresh rounds when you want another go. Your streak, best time, and recent solves stay on your device under a namespaced key, so they never collide with the other games. When a run ends you get a quick recap with your numbers and a suggestion for what to play next.
