About Table Tiebreaker
Table Tiebreaker is a game-night arbitration game about fair calls, not memorized rules. Each round shows a short, fictional tabletop dispute, a tilted die, a card left exposed, a rule everyone reads differently. You pick the ruling you would enforce from three options, then predict how much of the table would agree with you before you see the real split.
Every dispute is judged through one of three lenses: strict rules, table flow, or new player friendly, each favoring a different kind of fair call. A modifier chip names the pack’s scoring bonus, such as extra points for reading a close split or for calling a fast, confident ruling. A pack is five cards; the reveal after each one shows the crowd split as labeled bars, marks the recommended ruling for the active lens, compares your prediction to the actual number, and explains the call in a sentence or two.
Finish a five-card pack for a recap: your score, how many rulings matched the recommended call, how close your table reads were, your streak, and a house-judge title such as Consensus Referee or Chaos Mediator. Play the daily pack for a fresh dispute deck every day, jump into practice for unlimited packs, or pass the device around the table in pass and play mode, where one host reads each card aloud and enters the group’s real vote.
How to Play
- Read the dispute card at the top of the pack.
- Pick the ruling you would enforce (tap it, or press 1, 2, or 3).
- Drag the slider to predict how much of the table will agree with your ruling, then press Submit ruling.
- See the reveal: the real crowd split, the recommended ruling for the active lens, and the points you earned.
- Press Next card and repeat for all five cards to reach your recap.
- Try Practice for unlimited fresh packs, or Pass and play to have one host read cards aloud and enter the table’s real votes.
Tips & Tricks
- Check the lens and modifier chips before you rule; the modifier names the pack’s bonus rule, such as extra points for spotting a close split or ruling fast.
- A near-even crowd split usually means either ruling was defensible; the reveal explains the call either way.
- In pass and play, the host reads the card aloud and taps in the table’s real show-of-hands vote instead of guessing a prediction.
- Cards 1 and 2 in the daily pack are usually the easiest calls, so use them to get a feel for the lens before the tougher social calls later in the pack.
About the scenarios
- Every dispute is fictional and original, written for practice, not pulled from any real rulebook or game.
- No real game, publisher, or brand is named or quoted anywhere in the cards or explanations.
- No accounts, no personal information, and nothing you do is sent to or fetched from a third-party service while you play.
Scenarios are fictional. Table Tiebreaker teaches fair table judgment, not official rules for any specific game.
