About

Song Acting is a social guessing sprint. One player hears a song privately and acts it out without speaking while everyone else fires guesses. It’s built for quick, 5–10 minute sessions on mobile or desktop.

We keep it lightweight: no logins, simple join codes, and optional hints that surface genre, year, and a masked title as the timer winds down.

How to Play

  1. Create a game, set target score and timer.
  2. Share the code; start when at least two players have joined.
  3. Actor confirms headphones, picks a song (Spotify search or manual), then taps Start Turn.
  4. Guessers type titles; first correct guess ends the turn.
  5. Winner +2 points, actor +1 point. Hit the target score to win the game.

Tips & Tricks

  • Actors: exaggerate chorus moves; avoid mouthing lyrics to keep it fair.
  • Guessers: submit fast, concise titles—rate limits prevent spam but reward speed.
  • Short timers (30–45s) keep big groups lively; enable hints for newer players.
  • Pick iconic songs with clear gestures when onboarding new players.

Song Ideas

  • High-energy: “Uptown Funk”, “Shake It Off”, “Levitating”.
  • Easy mime: “Happy”, “Bad Guy”, “Eye of the Tiger”.
  • Group friendly: “Don’t Stop Believin’”, “Hey Ya!”, “Call Me Maybe”.

Play Fair & Safe

  • Keep movement safe for your space; no lifts or risky jumps.
  • Use headphones so only the actor hears the track.
  • Stick to family-friendly gestures when kids are in the room.
