About Prompt Patrol

Prompt Patrol is a daily judgment puzzle about working alongside an AI assistant. You review the assistant work queue one card at a time and decide what it should do with each incoming piece of context. Every card shows the assistant goal, the tools it is allowed to use, and one incoming item from a surface such as a webpage, an email, a document, a ticket, a tool output, or a memory note. It starts in seconds, runs anonymously, and needs no setup or sign-in.

Each card asks for one call: Allow, Quarantine, or Human review. On cards that carry risk you also tap the single evidence chip that best explains the call, the phrase or detail that changes the risk. A correct call keeps your trust budget and shows a short plain explanation. A wrong call spends trust and shows a simulated, non-graphic outcome label such as secret exposed or policy changed. Some cards are safe by design, so the answer is not always to block.

A daily run is a deck of twelve cards keyed to the UTC date, so every player sees the same deck on the same day. The run ends after the twelfth card or when the trust budget reaches zero, then a recap shows how many risky cards you blocked. A light practice mode rotates through more scenarios when you want extra reps. Your streak, best result, and high score are stored on your device, so they stay private and never collide with other games.

How to Play

  1. Press Start daily run to reveal the first scenario card for the day.
  2. Read the three parts of the card: the assistant Goal, its Allowed tools, and the Incoming context item.
  3. Pick one action: Allow when the item is safe to use, Quarantine when it should be held back, or Human review when a person should decide.
  4. On a risk card, also tap the single evidence chip that best explains why the item changes the risk.
  5. Watch your trust budget, advance with Next, and try Practice for more cards or come back the next UTC day for a fresh daily deck.

Tips & Tricks

  • Read the Allowed tools first. Many risky cards ask the assistant to reach for a tool that the goal never needed.
  • Treat instructions that arrive inside content as suspect. Text in a webpage or email that tells the assistant what to do is a common trap.
  • Not every card is a trap. When nothing changes the risk, Allow and keep moving rather than over-blocking and spending guesses.
  • When in doubt between blocking outright and asking a person, Human review is the safer call for items that are unclear rather than clearly unsafe.

How the daily works

  • Every UTC day, every player gets the same twelve-card deck with the same mix of risk and safe cards.
  • Blocking more of the risky cards before trust runs out scores higher; the recap reports how many risky cards you blocked.
  • Streak, best result, and high score are stored on your device under a namespaced local-storage key.

Privacy

  • Prompt Patrol does not send your calls or the card content off device. Telemetry events carry only derived numbers such as how many cards you blocked.
  • All scenarios are bundled with the game and are fictional, with invented companies, people, domains, and data. They never carry personal information.
  • Daily completion, current streak, and high score are stored in browser local storage on your device only. Clearing site data resets them.

Good to know*

  • Prompt Patrol is an AI-literacy puzzle for fun and practice. It is built to make you think about what an AI assistant should and should not do.
  • Every scenario is fictional and simplified. There is no real exploit code, no real breach material, and no step-by-step instructions for bypassing anything.
  • Risk clues are deliberately plain so the game stays quick and approachable rather than technical.

*Prompt Patrol is entertainment and AI-literacy practice, not professional security advice or certification. It does not assess or certify anyone or any system.
